Installable version

Download ISO version

The installable version is a system image that you can restaure on your system in minutes.

Virtual version

Download OVA version

The virtual version is importable directly in your virtual machine software like VirtualBox or VMware.

The following guide will assist you step by step to configure your server

Installation from the ISO file

Burn the ISO file thanks to your prefered software. Note that it's also possible to generate a bootable USB drive (not describe here).

Once burned, insert the CD in your server and boot on it. The installer will ask you for a configuration and then will override automatically your hard drive content.

A the end of the operation, the server restarts, remove the CD and confirm. Once restarted, it should display its own IP address. Copy this address into any web browser from your computer network, by example:

http://192.168.1.10/

A web page will give you a quick guide displaying the next step.

Known issues

The iGestis OS given is currently on Beta. It's not recommanded to use for production.

The system doesn't boot up

It's possible that grub is not installed properly. In that case, relaunch the installer, type CTRL+F2 (don't validate again the server install), and type the following commands:

mount /dev/sda2 /mnt
mount --bind /dev /mnt/dev
mount --bind /proc /mnt/proc
mount --bind /sys /mnt/sys
chroot /mnt
grub-install /dev/sda
grub-update
exit
reboot

The system doesn't display the server IP

Try to restart a second time the server. If the address still doesn't displaying, authenticate with root / Passw0rd, and type:

ifconfig eth0

If the système doesn't show the interface, you will probably have to configure it. Please refere to Debian manual.

I don't find the Administrator password to connect on iGestis

Try Passw0rd and if it doesn't work, and authenticate on the server (console ou SSH) with root / Passw0rd. and type:

samba-tool user setpassword Administrator

This will let you easily changing the Administrator password if you loose it.

I would like to install the updates

Just type the following command in the console:

apt-get update && apt-get upgrade

By this way, you will always get automatically the latest version of SOGo and OpenChange. But take care to always having a backup and a way to revert back the changes.
